The EU Batteries Directive will be implemented across all member states by the 26th of September 2006. The Directive seeks to improve the environmental performance of batteries and accumulators and of the activities of all economic operators involved in the life cycle of batteries and accumulators, eg producers, distributors and end users and, in particular, those operators directly involved in the treatment and recycling of waste batteries and accumulators.

Carbon Zone offer independent detailed advice on legal compliance issues with the Batteries Directive for Producers and we have the practical knowledge of the battery recycling market throughout Europe.
